Well, the guy has a lot of books made into movies, I guess after Stephan King he must be the second most “converted” author (not counting JKR, since Harry Potter is a series). I would love to see Prey, not so much State of Fear or Next.

And I would love to see “Pirate Latitudes” on screen, too.

It was terribly anti-climatic!!! Built up to a frenzy and then… blip, nothing. Grrrrr. Please do not watch Timeline, you can spend those precious minutes doing something else. It was simply AWFUL! I wouldn’t mind watching Prey though, if it gets made.

I don’t remember Airframe that much now. Was it a bit anti-climactic? I want to see Timeline, the book is so action-packed, and movie-able. I am also hoping somebody converts Prey into a movie.

It wasn’t so much the technical language than the ending you know… was VERY disappointing And Timeline the movie was atrocious, even with dishy Gerard Butler and Anna Friel.

And I rather meant to say there are a lot of people out there who are not self-centred… and if so, would be an effort indeed to act that part. For the rest… well… easy having nailed it!

Airframe is much more technical than other books, and more confined in environment. Even Andromeda Strain is slightly more technical (and more contemporary) than his other, later books, and is much less bloody. But better than Airframe. Timeline is one of the best, so is Jurassic Park.

And that’s what I meant. If you were born self-centered without having to act it…

Nah, have a copy lying at home but haven’t read it as such. The worst of them all was Airframe… such a let down!

And you’d be surprised at how many people have trouble being self-centred

Jordan is such a character. How easy it would be to be self-centered person with no care what others think?

Nah it was just a bit role, all of five second but she was in very much Jordanesque form. I’ll bet she had such fun with that little part that she decided she wanted more of it and that’s how we have Jordan

Haven’t read Andromeda Strain… I’ve read a sum total of three books by Crichton and the only one I liked was Timeline.

That I guess is a problem with long-running, successful comedies (or should I say series?) As it is hard to imagine any of the FRIENDS crowd in any other role. Haven’t seen Fresh Prince that much. Was she in a similar role?

BTW, have you read “Andromeda Strain”?
